DURABLE product wins Pro-K award
A great number of products were entered, only twelve of which won the sought-after "Product of the Year Award" from "Pro-K", the German Industrial Association for Semi-Finished Products and Consumer Products made of Plastics. One award-winner was the design table presenter from the office supplies specialist DURABLE based in Iserlohn. The jurors selected the best products in terms of functionality, design and creativity in the four categories of Home, Leisure, General Requirements and Technical Consumer Goods.
"All award-winners have come up with products featuring creative, aesthetically pleasing design as well as excellent functionality, and thus presented us with genuine innovations", explains Ralf Olsen, Managing Director of the Pro-K association, organisers of the contest.
"We are highly gratified to have won this award from a renowned association like Pro-K only a few months after Crystal Sign desk was introduced. This recognition confirms once more the high standard of design and quality which we have upheld for many years with our different products", Horst-Werner Maier-Hunke, Managing Director of DURABLE Hunke & Jochheim GmbH & Co. KG, said during the award ceremony.
About Pro-K
Pro-K – the German Industrial Association for Semi-Finished Products and Consumer Products made of Plastics - was formed in September 2006 by a merger of the two GKV divisions "Kunststoff-Konsumwaren" (Plastic Consumer Goods) and "Bau-, Möbel- und Industriehalbzeuge" (Semi-Finished Products in Building Construction, Furniture and Industrial Applications), and it is now acting as a supporting association of "Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie e.V. (GKV)" (German Plastics Processors' Association). Pro-K is subdivided into several groups representing different market segments and product groups in which the leading plastics processing companies are involved.
The product portfolio represented includes plastic window systems, storage and transport systems as well as decorative laminated sheet, consumer products and a group of brand products.
About the contest
Pro-K, formerly the plastic consumer goods division within GKV, has honoured outstanding creatively, aesthetically and functionally designed plastic products with "Product of the Year" awards for almost 30 years. A top-class expert jury, consisting of scientists, specialised journalists, designers, testing institutes and representatives of consumers' associations, examines and judges all products entered.
