Safer mobile working - The new DURABLE privacy filter against visual hacking

Iserlohn, 25/08/2020: Laptop sales rose rapidly in the first two quarters of 2020 – in Germany by up to 40 per cent. Why? Because due to the coronavirus, people no longer just work in the office but also in their home office, or they alternate between corporate and home office. Whether on the go or at home, sensitive data must be protected everywhere – both from digital and visual access. Modern workplace solution expert DURABLE has now brought high-quality privacy films for notebook screens onto the market, which can be securely attached using magnets and quickly removed again. The films not only protect against unwanted reading of screen content, but also prevent rapid eye fatigue.

Instant protection
Commercially available privacy filters are usually attached with adhesive strips or adhesive rails. The problem with this method is that the adhesive loses its strength after repeated use and/or if it gets dirty, while the rails interfere with the edge of the screen. In addition, there are often no well-thought-out solutions for safely stowing the filter when it is not in use. DURABLE has therefore chosen a new mounting method for its privacy filters. Small flat magnets are glued to the edge of the screen on Windows laptops and stay there permanently. With MacBooks, the filter simply sticks to the magnets built into the screen. Thanks to their low height, both versions are barely noticeable, and affect neither the view of the screen nor the easy closing of the notebook. The filter film can be attached to the magnet in no time and removed again just as quickly. The patent-pending fastening system positions the filter reliably so that nothing slips, not even when you open and close the screen. Visual thieves and data stalkers stand no chance: the privacy filter blocks prying eyes from seeing anything outside of an angle of 30 degrees or more to the right and left of the screen.
After use, the film can simply be safely stowed and transported in the corresponding folder made of sturdy plastic. This protects it from scratches and dust.

The DURABLE filters have a matt surface and thus prevent annoying reflections, which normally make working on laptops more difficult in certain light conditions. Screen light has a high blue component, which is harmful to eye health and can cause sleep disorders. The DURABLE privacy filter reduces the blue light by up to 35 per cent and thus increases comfort.
